Comparison pages are usually written by whoever wants to win them, so here is how this one is built. Every GoLogin row below was read from their own site and documentation on 17 August 2026, and each cell links to the page it came from. Anything we could not find on their site is left out rather than guessed at — a blank row here means we did not verify it, never that the feature is missing. And the rows Argus loses are in the table with the rest of them.

Which of these is for you
GoLogin runs where Argus does not. There are Windows, Mac, Mac M-series and Linux downloads and an Android app, a Cloud Browser that runs real Chromium sessions on GoLogin's own infrastructure with session state preserved, an MCP server, and proxies sold and assigned straight from the API. If you want profiles to keep running when your laptop is shut, that is the row that decides it.
Argus is for people who want the opposite trade: everything on your own machine, nothing running on anyone's servers, an automation builder and typed tables rather than JSON runbooks, and every AI feature on model keys you hold. The cost of that is real — no cloud, no Linux, no Android, and nothing happens while the app is closed.

Cells are sentences rather than ticks. Two ticks in a captcha row would hide the thing that decides it — whether every solve costs money — and the same is true of half the rows below.

These products change often, and we would rather correct this page than defend it — tell us if something here is out of date. Anything we could not verify on their site is left out of the table rather than guessed at.
What actually differs
Cloud sessions are the whole difference, in both directions
GoLogin runs a Cloud Browser: real Chromium sessions on their infrastructure, with cookies and session state preserved between them, which is exactly what you want if profiles have to keep working while your machine is off. Argus has no equivalent and no plan to pretend otherwise. Everything runs locally, the API is loopback-only on 127.0.0.1, and a schedule entry whose slot passed with the launcher closed is marked missed and skipped rather than caught up. That is a deliberate design — no session of yours ever runs on hardware we control, and nothing about your accounts passes through our servers — but it is a constraint before it is a feature, and if uptime matters more than locality then GoLogin answers your question and this page does not.
What actually differs
Profiles move by CSV in both products, and that is worth knowing before you buy either
GoLogin's own docs are unusually blunt about this: import and export are “via CSV files”, the feature “only works with profile configuration, not actual browsing data”, and “CSV import is not a backup method”. Argus is in the same position — CSV import and export of profile rows, plus a folder of cookie files matched to profiles by name, and no single file carrying a fingerprint and a session together. So moving between these two specifically means rebuilding sessions either way, and anyone promising a one-click migration between them is describing something neither product documents.
What actually differs
Both ship MCP. Argus's is the whole app, on your machine
GoLogin documents an MCP server installed with npx and authenticated with an API token, covering profiles, proxies, fingerprints, folders and sessions. Argus's is 90 tools over 89 local endpoints, reaching automations, schedules, datasets, connectors and skills as well as profiles — and it runs against a loopback server on your own machine, so the agent's reach ends at your desk. Every new client raises an approve-or-deny prompt in the app before its first request, and the keys you issue can be scoped to named folders and revoked. The trade is the same one as the row above: less reach from elsewhere, in exchange for nothing to reach.
The honest part
Where Argus is the wrong answer
Four things about Argus that a table makes it easy to skim past. If any of them is load-bearing for you, buy the other one — a refund and a bad review cost us more than the sale was worth.
- The desktop builds are macOS on Apple Silicon and Windows 10/11 on x64. There is no Linux build, no Intel Mac build and no mobile app.
- Everything runs on your machine. There is no hosted API and no cloud runner, so nothing happens while the app is closed — a schedule entry whose slot passed with the launcher shut is marked missed and skipped, never caught up.
- The cheapest paid plan is $89 for 30 days. Several products in this category start lower.
- Teams share one pool with no per-resource permissions and no activity log yet — both are named as missing on the teamwork page rather than implied.

Moving over
What actually transfers, and what does not
Profiles do not move between these tools the way files move between folders. There is no shared format, and the part that matters most — a profile's cookies and its fingerprint together — is the part that travels worst. What genuinely carries over, what has to be rebuilt, and the order to do it in are on the switching page, written without pretending an importer exists that does not.
