An installer, not a portable build — it updates in place. SmartScreen may ask once for a newly released version.

One download, two programs
The installer above contains the launcher. The browser itself is a separate program the launcher installs and updates for you — a deliberate wall between the app that holds your account and the sessions that touch the web.
Argus Launcher
The desktop app you sign in to. It owns your account, your proxies, your cookie sets and your extensions, and it decides what a browser session is allowed to see.
Argus Browser
A purpose-built Chromium. It receives one launch payload, opens a session, and knows nothing else — it never signs in, and it never sees your account or your other profiles.
The full reference for that boundary — every capability on both sides — is on How Argus works.
First run
Your first five minutes
- 01
Install the launcher
Open the installer and follow it. This is the only file you download yourself.
- 02
Sign in
Your profiles, proxies and cookie sets live in your account, so a second machine starts where the first left off.
- 03
The launcher fetches the browser
Argus Browser — the hardened Chromium — installs on demand in the background. There is no second installer to run.
- 04
Launch a profile
Each session opens fully isolated, with its own fingerprint, cookie jar and proxy.
Updates download in the background; you choose when to restart. Trouble installing? Check the FAQ or email support.
